. Yesterday vision very excited the movie by Michelangelo Frammartino Le Quattro Volte (2010). Between poetic essay, documentary and cinematic reflection on rural passage of time, the film exposes not establish hierarchy between human, animal and mineral a certain vision of the cycle life. This achievement gives plenty to see and to contemplate: the everyday and the death of a shepherd of Calabria, the fate of a kid who will end at the foot of a majestic tree, which itself will be shot in order to be used as a mast during a traditional festival, then as a base material for the manufacture of charcoal. The coal will then be filed with the villagers, and burned up in smoke. QED.

One aspect of the movie I liked was its lack of false pathos and compassion for the farmers. No indictment, no bitter about this or that social issue. No presentation anthropological Nor, many facts decoding with great difficulty. The purpose of the director is apparently not taking the viewer through feelings or to learn something. And it feels good. The nostalgia that can be felt here is not that of a natural world where everything is beautiful and harmonious, and where man would give to the environment in a balanced manner. No, this natural world is terrible, its logic is compelling and gives no desire to return to the state mineral. A stone or smoke coming out of a chimney, at least, he was left alone.
